Prince Machabelli
The Vain Rival

I’m a Renaissance Man #5
The Art of Pretending - Satire
Singer : Prince Machabelli
Scene Description: The Prancing Pig Performance Dinner
Inside Bellacopia’s most flamboyant bistro, The Prancing Pig hosts Zinfandella's homecoming. Nobility and townsfolk gather for a lavish evening of food, flair, and forced charm. Bursting through velvet curtains like a bullfighter, Prince Machabelli—chef, showman, and self-proclaimed genius—takes the stage with cape-snapping bravado. Unknown to Zinfandella, Baba is enslaved in the kitchen.
To impress Zin and her mother, Machabelli launches into a theatrical song-and-dance routine backed by a live band:
“I’m a Renaissance Man—a sensation wherever I am…”
Mixing flamenco spins, offbeat rhymes, and a clumsy moonwalk, Machabelli’s performance is grandiose—and just a little tragic. Meanwhile, Baba steals Zinfandella’s attention for a brief, wordless moment. As the crowd offers polite applause, Machabelli announces his finale: “Oso Buco! With my Magic Mole’—Olé!” The curtain falls on ego, awkward charm, and a simmering culinary rivalry.

Lyrics
But if you need some inspiration
You won’t have to wait too long
Just give me a cue and I’ll entertain you
With my most amazing song
Here we go.
Some people say that I’m a jack of all trades
And then they say that I’m a master of none
But if you could do it all, why be a master of one?
Just be a Renaissance Man — that’s what I am
I’m everything you’ve ever dreamed a man could be
I represent the future of humanity
Yes, I’m a Renaissance
I’m a Renaissance Man
