The Quest forces Baba to confront his own pride and vanity while redeeming the failures of his father and mentor, Papo Gostoso. As Baba reaches the end of his quest, feelings for Zinfandella have grown-and he discovers that heroism is a road through deception, greedy villains, and betrayal.   Choosing success is not to become what others want from him; but completing his work with the focus and intensity he has acquired by tasting new powers.   
Baba seeks balance, and finds that Zinfandella embodies the courage and clarity he needs to be complete. She challenges him to trust his instincts and claim his role without apology.    Their connection becomes the final, invisible ingredient.
