Marcel is the film’s narrator — with a soft-spoken French accent, Marcel carries a gentle wisdom and an ever-present loyalty to Zinfandella and Leonardo. As Leonardo’s assistant, test pilot, chauffeur, and the island’s most skilled aerial navigator, Marcel sees the world from above — both literally and emotionally.

His role includes being a messenger as well as a leader of an aerial squadron known as the “Flyers.”

Marcel’s narration carries the warmth of a fatherly storyteller — offering poetic insight without ever overshadowing the characters. His calm presence becomes an emotional anchor, guiding the audience through the story’s humor, heartbreak, cosmic wonder, and revelations. He is the voice of memory, perspective, and grace.
