A proud Spaniard, Machabelli is flamboyant, jealous, and eager to be seen as Bellacopia's true culinary authority. He sees Baba as an upstart, burns down Papo's school and enslaves Baba in a theatrical Cabaret kitchen. Though lacking culinary skill, he's positioned as the "hero chef" by Vincenzio to replace Baba. Insecure and egotistical, Machabelli dresses as a bullfighter or a flamenco dancer - depending on the day. He is performance without soul - the aristocracy's counterfeit hero.
